Zach joined Austin PT in the fall of 2021. He has been practicing therapy for 4 years all in an orthopedic setting. Zach completed his undergraduate degree in 2015 from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh with a Bachelors of Science majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise and Fitness. While at Oshkosh, Zach spent two years playing (practicing) college football. He went on to graduate from Concordia University WI with a clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018.
Zach grew up in southern Wisconsin and moved to Texas in 2018 to escape the harsh northern winters. When not treating patients, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog fur baby Asher, and maintaining his yard.
Zach comes from a family of teachers and enjoys making education a large part of his treatment philosophy. He believes that knowing what is going on with one’s health, and how to properly manage it, will enable his patients to make the best medical decisions possible. Zach has been certified in Dry Needling for over three years and uses this technique often to treat many different types of musculoskeletal conditions. He also greatly enjoys the one-on-one interaction and the extended time he gets to spend with his patients. He learns as much from them as they do from him.
Zach has extensive experience in treating a whole host of different conditions ranging from every type of post-surgical, chronic lower back and sacroiliac joint pain, gait and balance disruptions, sports medicine, and osteoarthritis. He employs a combination of targeted exercise instruction, specialized manual therapy techniques like Dry Needling, and patient education to achieve the best outcomes possible. After working with Zach, every patient will have the tools and the know-how to manage their condition and prevent it from coming back.
