Austin PT is a physical and aquatic therapy clinic serving the Austin community since 1989. We pride ourselves on providing 1:1 attention to our clients, both in the clinic and in the pool.
We are one of the only clinic in Austin to offer Schroth Method treatment for Scoliosis and Kyphosis conditions. We also offer dry needling as an alternative, holistic therapy option.
Our patients are contacted and scheduled for their appointments within 24 hours of receiving their referral and there are no wait lists to be seen. With a goal of consistent and effective patient care, each patient will see the same therapist each session.
Our mission whether you are participating in physical therapy or aquatic therapy is to empower you with the tools and techniques necessary to improve not only your specific injury but your overall quality of life. Each client will have a customized treatment plan developed by the therapist in collaboration with each client’s personal goals to reach their maximum potential.
Founded with the philosophy of treating people instead of just their diagnoses, from day one we customize every physical therapy and pool therapy treatment program to the individual. Every person’s pain and dysfunction is different, so we evaluate individual needs, using a combination of therapies to address the physical, mental, and emotional sources of pain and dysfunction. Our services are provided by Licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants certified in McKenzie Technique, Functional Dry Needling and Schroth Scoliosis and Kyphosis Method. We are an educational facility and are also certified student instructors.

Austin PT's physical therapy program is unlike any other. Each patient works 1:1 with only one licensed therapist for a full 45-60 min session. Our therapists are extensively trained and certified in a broad range of specialties to address any of your muscular, neurological, pain, spine and wellness needs. Most importantly, every program is customized to the individual's situation and goals and re-evaluated at each session to ensure maximum outcomes and progress. Our patients have told us repeatedly that they get better, faster with our specialized care!
Aquatic therapy, or pool therapy, is a perfect alternative for patients with multiple painful joints, pregnant women, patients with chronic pain, deconditioning, balance or neurological conditions that limit their ability to exercise on land. The idea is that your muscles don’t know the difference, but your joints do. Our pool is a very comfortable 96 deg where patients can start their exercises in an unloaded environment which decreases the strain of gravity, allows the muscles to get stronger, the pain to reduce and gradually, we can transition patients to dry land to achieve their ultimate functional goals.
The Schroth Method is a German-based treatment aimed at correcting and arresting spinal curvatures through all 3 dimensions of the body. Patients will benefit from skilled PT using the Schroth Scoliosis & Kyphosis Method to introduce body blocks, terms, mobilizations, postural changes, breathing corrections and exercises specific to each patient. An improved understanding of the curve will help the patient function optimally while improving their posture and habits. Every program is uniquely created for each patient with one-on-one, hour long visits, photo series taken monthly, scoliosis analysis, personalized binders, props and a clear program of progressive exercises taiolored to meet each person's needs. Schroth is not about limiting activity but allowing each person to live life the way they want without pain or self-consciousness.
This is a cash basis program only. Please call for further information.
